I made the early train this morning. Today was like most other days, except I attended a management course today. The rest of the day just slipped away it felt. Nothing much interesting happened.

I managed to get on the early train by not shaving today. Sofia had been up again last night, twice apparently. Work today ended up being review day, as it took most of the day to do my reviews and doing other things needed. During lunch I went out trying to buy a phone again. I went out looking for a Vodafone shop on George st, I did not find the store in question, however I fond a 3 store (considering 3 and Vodafone is the same company I think it was actually the store in question, but I digress). I continued along George st, and found a "Crazy John" and thought that maybe an independent store would sell the phone I was after without fuss. So in I went and asked them. But no, they could only sell phones outright "to sell surplus stock" and they did not have enough stock to sell me a phone today, but they had the phone on order. They had no delivery date but I could call them to find out if they had had a delivery. Really... so I walked into the 3 store on the way back. Last time I spoke to people in a different 3 store they could not sell phones outright, but hey what did I have to loose. As I waited for staff to become available a woman waltzes in, walks right past me and managed to time it just right so the staff member that just then became available speaks to her. Just a few moments later a different staff member becomes available and offers to help me. By now I waste no time on asking "the wrong questions". So I ask "Do you sell this phone outright?" and he goes "yes we do", "how much is it outright?" to which he replies "let me find out" comes back and tells me. "Can I buy one now?" to which he replies "sure" and away we go. A moment later I own the phone. Now this is what I expected the first time I walked into a Vodafone shop in Penrith, or any other shop I had been in trying to buy a phone. I don't know why all the other stores (except for crazy johns) are stores for the same company "Vodafone Hutchison Australia" but no one so far wanted to sell me a phone. But now I finally have a new phone. Oh and we also finally know the result of the election 17 days ago. We now know we ended up with pest a labor government for another three years.. maybe considering political stability of late I doubt they will last a full three years.

I made the early train today. Work was as work is most, I spent the day on our spike. Nothing to talk about there. During lunch I went and tried to buy a phone again. Again vodafone refused to sell me a phone upfront, I have to go on a plan according to them. It is getting very ridiculus now. I am so sick of this stupidity.

We woke up at around seven. Jessica and Sofia woke me up with a "happy father's day" and breakfast in bed. I had breakfast in bed, but I had to share it with Sofia, as she could not wait until we all got up. We then put on a load of laundry as the day was windy and sunny. After that went over to number thirty for father's day there as well. As we arrived rather late we ended up staying until lunch. We had lunch at home and soon put Sofia in bed. She took a long time to go to sleep (and took off her sleeping bag, pants and nappy before going to sleep). The afternoon went away real quick with all the chores that had to be done. We spoke to Farmor and Farar today instead as we did not do that yesterday. When I got Mikka in somewhere along the lines we managed (not sure if it was him or me) break a claw so as I arrived at the door I noticed he was bleeding quite badly from one of his paws. After some emergency aid we managed to stop the bleeding. Mikka was good throughout the procedure and did not seem to be in pain, so that made it much easier. Nothing further happened today.

We got up around the seven mark today. I was overcast and gloomy. We soon got ready and went to the train, we were heading for a station I had passed many times but never gotten off at. We caught the ten train to Strathfield and then on to Medowbank to meet up with a friend of mine. Stephanie and Eric had invited us all over for lunch and we had happily accepted of course. Stephanie is one of the friends I made at Frame and have since kept contact with. It took us nearly an hour and half to make it to their place. We all had a good time with good food but more importantly good company. Sofia quickly warmed up to them and were soon playing and having fun with them. Eric had an appointment to go somewhere and so left a bit earlier. At around two we were back at the station heading towards home. Sofia was still were excited and was talking the entire way home, we thought that she would maybe have a rest but she didn't. We got home again at around four thirty. Sofia was tired but in her own way she ran around talking and singing, like we all do when we are tired. We put her to bed about twenty minutes earlier than normal and she did not object. It was a good day.

Today was the last day of the working week. Sofia was awake when I got ready so I got her into our bedroom before I left. It was a very miserable day with rain or near rain the entire day. At work nothing was really new or changing. Well I got it confirmed which team I will be in for the foreseeable future, and I am happy with that. Nothing else really happened.

I actually made the early train today. The day was pretty good, nothing really special happened though. I worked on our twenty percent project with Ryan all day. In the evening I continued to setup my laptop and a client bridge for our wireless network at home. It is all progressing well. I really dislike getting a new computer though, there is so many little bits and pieces that needs to happen before it is configured well.

I did not make the early train, but that is understandable as we are still missing sleep from last weekend and getting to bed a bit late. The day was as days are most. I was working with Anatoli most of the day on our project spike. It is going well. Nothing of interest happened at all during the day.

I was very tired in the morning, the weekend adventures are still haunting me. The day was pretty quiet, I had a phone conference with SanFran at eleven, but they called me an hour early, but that was fine. The rest of the day I did code reviews and other things that have hung over me for some time now. In the afternoon we started some project work which will keep me busy for the next week as well. Should be good.

I was tired in the morning, three days with less than normal sleep is taking it's toll. My ambition to catch the early train was foiled before I even got out of bed. At work it was a fairly productive day, I got some stuff done and had a few meetings. I'm a bit worried that meetings are sneaking back in, maybe it is time to take action against them. So far they have not been complete waste of time so that is good at least.
